Beware_BatmanAmazon has acquired exclusive rights to the new animated Batman series – Beware the Batman.

The 26 episode show is described as “a fresh, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise” and is available in the UK for the first time via Amazon’s Prime Instant Video streaming service.

Featuring “ground-breaking” CGI, the Caped Crusader steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans.

The show throws introduces viewers to the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld, led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie.
Featuring Batman’s core characters and a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form, the series sees Bruce Wayne don his cowl and join forces with sword-mistress Katana, ex-secret agent butler Alfred Pennyworth and the hard-nosed Lieutenant James Gordon to take on the might of Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
Executive produced by Warner Bros. Animation’s Sam Register (Ben 10, The Looney Tunes Show), and developed by Glen Murakami (Batman Beyond) – the show is an exciting new take on the popular DC Comics detective, with Anthony Ruivivar (Law & Order, Revolution) voicing the Dark Knight.

Beware the Batman is the first show aimed at a young adult audience to air on Prime Instant Video before being shown by a traditional broadcaster.
