France-based Bookeen is the latest eBook reader manufacturer to announce a new model, the Cybook Opus which expected to arrive in UK stores shortly.
The company says the device is faster, slimmer and lighter than rival readers and claims 8000 pages turns per charge. The 5″ has a resolution of 600 x 800 pixels and can be read in both portrait and landscape modes.
Compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac OS, the Cybook Opus is seen by computers as a USB mass storage device. A microSD card allows the 1GB of internal memory to be increased.
Supported formats include are Adobe’s ePub and PDF, TXT and HTML files and JPEG, GIF and PNG for pics.
