Update: throughly enjoyed The TT's Wife, reminded me of River Song's story.

Not sure about Lungbarrow, hated the nondescript NA companion Chris, but liked other bits, thought the 7th Doc came across accurately. Enjoyed the tying into the TVM and a glimpse into where Doctor Who might have gone if Andrew Cartmel had had hisway.

I just finished The Time Traveler's Wife. It is a little like River's story. Mostly the bit where she meets him and he has no idea who she is.

But I have to say, what a beautiful book. It's become my new favourite and totally usurped Pride and Prejudice.

I've recently finished 'A Feast for Crows', the fourth part of George RR Martin's 'Song of Ice and Fire' saga and 'Heart Shaped Box' by Joe Hill, who writes as well as his more famous father...

Both were very enjoyable in different ways...'Crows' is the continuation of a superb fantasy epic, more sword than sorcery...'Box' is a big ol', scary slice of contemporary horror, following a fine family tradition.

I've now started Iain M Banks' 'Inversions', about which Banks has said "Inversions was an attempt to write a Culture novel that wasn't".
