Legendary British film actor Sir Michael Caine is joined by Jude Law in Kenneth Branagh’s new version of the classic film Sleuth.
The original starred the late Sir Laurence Olivier as writer Andrew Wyke with Michael Caine as Milo Tindle who is having an affair with his wife. This time round Caine is Wyke, a wealthy writer of detective stories, with Law playing the wife seducing younger man.
Written by Harold Pinter and directed by Branagh the film is a dramatic and thrilling study of sexual conflict, jealousy, power and manipulation handled with both lacerating wit and humour.
The writer’s exquisitely modernized Georgian manor becomes the backdrop for a cat and mouse game that pits one creative mind against another.
Sleuth opens at cinemas across the UK Friday 23rd November
