BBC One’s Casualty kicks off a new three-part story this Saturday which sees the staff of Holby’s ED caught up in a bitter gang feud.
In the first episode,16-year-old Stevie (Franz Drameh) is drawn into the Farmead Crew by half-brother Kris (Samuel Anderson), despite the positive influence of his beloved grandmother.
Forced to prove his loyalty to the gang, Stevie is persuaded by leader Anton (Charles Mnene) to shoot at a rival drug dealer to warn him off their turf.
But the shooting goes wrong and a small boy is caught in the crossfire.
With Stevie punished by the gang for messing up, the group spill into the ED, attracting the attention of Superintendent Yvonne Rippon (Rachel Shelley).
As Jordan (Michael French) and the ED team battle to save the young gun victim, Rippon interrogates Stevie.
Under the concerned eye of Lloyd (Michael Obiora), Stevie insists his injuries are accidental. But how long before he cracks and tells the truth and what will the consequences be?
