Channel 4 has signed a deal to screen a possible third series of thriller Homeland.
The series about a US Marine played by Damian Lewis who returns home after years of captivity in Iraq was a ratings hit for the channel when it aired earlier this year.
Channel 4 has already announced it will screen the upcoming second series and has now signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television to screen a third series if its commissioned in the US.
Gill Hay, Channel 4′s Head of Acquisitions, said: “we’re thrilled international smash hit Homeland will continue to premiere on C4, allowing UK audiences to enjoy the most talked about drama of the year.”
