Doctor Who Goes To Greece

BBC Worldwide have announced a two-year agreement with the new Greek terrestrial television channel SKAI which launches on 1 April 2006.
Under the deal BBC Worldwide will provide over 500 hours of drama, factual and news and current affairs programming including Doctor Who.
Other programmes covered by the deal include Spooks and documentaries, including Seven Wonders [...]

Volume one is listed for release on 01/05/2006 and includes The Christmas Invasion and New Earth. Volume two is listed for release on 05/06/2006.

After a false start yesterday the official Doctor Who site (complete with Torchwood splash page) has announced that Welsh actress Eve Myles is to join John Barrowman in Torchwood as Gwen Cooper.
The site quotes Russell T Davies as saying:

Doctor Who Nominated for RTS Award

Doctor Who has been nominated in the category of Best Drama Series in the forthcoming Royal Television Society awards.
The show is up against the Channel 4 series ‘Shameless 2′ and BBC Three’s ‘Bodies’.
The results will be announced on the 14th of March at an Awards Dinner. The event will be hosted by Phillip Schofield.

The Satan Pit Cast Update

The official series site has announced that ‘Casualty’ actor Will Thorp will appear as Toby in the two-part story ‘The Satan Pit’.
Outside of ‘Casualty’ Thorp has appeared in ‘Friends and Crocodiles’ and the recent hit series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
