Thompson Praises BBC Wales

BBC Director-General Mark Thompson has praised BBC Wales for their success with Doctor Who and Torchwood and held the shows up as a benchmark for other BBC units to meet.
Speaking to the icWales site Thompson said he was “sure we will be seeing more series of both Doctor Who and Torchwood.”

Torchwood Beats Lost

Last night’s installment of Torchwood beat the third episode Sky One’s US import Lost according to overnight figures.
BBC Three’s sci-fi hit clocked up 1.2 million viewers, a 7.08% audience share, compared to 1.1 million for Lost.
