Johnny Depp and Christian Bale star in the action-thriller Public Enemies, released across the UK today (July 1st). Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michael Mann, the film tells the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Depp)—the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover’s fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public.

Law & Order: UK gets second series

With six episodes from series one still to be broadcast, ITV1 has ordered a second 13-part run of Law & Order: UK. Based on Dick Wolf’s hit US show, Law & Order: UK stars Bradley Walsh, Jamie Bamber and Freema Agyeman and attracted average audiences of 6.3m when it launched in February.
