O2 has confirmed the Palm Pre, which has had mixed reviews in the US, will be go on sale on 16 October. The network, which has the handset on an exclusive basis, will offer the phone for free on an 18 month tariff of £44.05 per month. On lower tariffs the handset will cost £96.89.
