The latest series of Luther and Doctor Who are heading to Taiwan after BBC Studios, the broadcaster’s commercial arm, signed a deal to supply more than 200 hours of “premium” dramas to the myVideo service, part of Taiwan Mobile’s quad-play offering.
Programmes will be available within in a BBC-branded section of the service and will also include Doctor Foster, the award-winning mystery-drama starring Suranne Jones about a GP whose life unravels when she discovers that her husband is having an affair.
“We have seen increasing interest in premium British dramas in Taiwan, and are very pleased to be working with myVideo to deliver quality British drama to meet this demand,” said Kelvin Yau, SVP and GM of Greater China, BBC Studios.
