Orange and T-Mobile owner EE is offering customers the chance to buy themselves out of their contracts early in return for migrating to a new 4G plan.
Under the firm’s Swap offer, customers on a 18 or 24 month plan can take their handset into a retail store and trade it in for a new 4G handset in return for a single upfront payment and signing a new 24 month contract.
The amount paid will depend on the new 4G plan the customer signs up to.
Pippa Dunn, Chief Consumer Marketing Officer, EE said: “With smartphone innovation moving at a relentless pace, we realise that some customers want to move to the latest handset at the earliest possible opportunity.
“That’s why we’ve introduced ‘Swap’ to sit alongside our existing upgrade offers – providing a new, simple and easily affordable option for pay monthly customers to move to the latest 4G smartphones.”
