Sky has announced that England’s One Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches will be shown exclusively in Ultra HD on its next-generation Sky Q boxes.
The broadcasts will allow Sky Q customers to experience multi-camera coverage in stunning Ultra HD and 1080 50p Hawk-Eye, and enhanced statistical offerings from CricViz, with the broadcaster promising fans a “unique viewing experience” that give them “a view to rival even that of the umpire themselves.”
Bryan Henderson, Sky Sports Head of Cricket, commented: “Offering cricket fans all forms of the game in Ultra HD is another step forward for our ever-expanding range of Ultra HD Sports content.
“Following our first Test Match broadcasts last year, fans of T20 and ODI will now be taken closer to the action, excitement, and drama than ever before when Australia and India visit from June.”
