Film London, the body which promotes the capital to film and television
makers, is looking for up to 10 companies to participate in the third
round of the Company Placement Scheme which aims to support, assist and
improve recruitment and mentoring across the sector and target
newcomers to the industry.
The scheme aims to attract applicants from backgrounds that reflect the
diversity of Londons population, and is particularly keen to support
companies who want to recruit candidates from communities currently
under represented in the film and media industries.
Film London is hoping to attract companies involved in Animation, Sales, Exhibition and Distribution.
The selected companies will receive support to provide paid work
placements for London-based new starters in the film and TV industries.
This includes up to 75% of the total gross costs of the work placement
for up to six months, a professional HR consultant mentor who supports
the mentors as well as further recruitment advice and support.
Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London said: “Building on the success of
last years programme, we are delighted that even more businesses and
individuals will have the opportunity to participate in the 2007
Company Placement Scheme, helping to ensure that London’s workforce
remains at the forefront of the industry.”
