Although the graphics and presentation have been spruced up for the next-gen consoles, the experience seems somewhat cold. That said there is a degree of fun to be had in the online modes: anyone for an airport buggy grand prix? (Bonus points for inflicting death on the unsuspecting public as you race). A few friends have mentioned Saints Row 2 as a more fun alternative as it's not so immersed in reality and has a sense of humour which seems to be lacking in GTA IV.
