The Guardian’s Marketing & PR section features an article looking at what it calls the “mishandled PR” over the new series and Christoper Eccleston’s exit from the show.
The article calls the loss of the lead actor “a waste of everybody’s time” and claims the BBC used the show’s fame “cynically, deliberately concealing the news of Eccleston’s refusal to lock himself into a long run until the main burst of launch publicity had done its job.”
A second article lists the 10* Doctors to date with a brief biog of each, each snippet being related to a web based story.
*yup 10, the article includes David Tennant as number 10 despite him not having been officially announced. This is seemingly on the strength of the BBC claims that he is “the only name being looked at”.
