New apps bringing the BBC's iPlayer to Apple's iPad and devices powered by Google's Android operating system are expected to launch later this week. Technology retailers Currys, Dixons and PC World have reportedly stopped selling Toshiba’s Folio 100 Android tablet after "higher than expected" numbers of the would-be iPad rivals were returned by unhappy customers. UK mobile operator O2 has confirmed it'll be offering Samsung's Galaxy Tab tablet from the 1st November "on all O2 Mobile Broadband tariffs" although it has not yet revealed full pricing details.
