BBC iPlayer app confirmed for iPad and Android

The BBC already offers a web-based version of the iPlayer for Apple's iPad

New apps bringing the BBC's iPlayer to Apple's iPad and devices powered by Google's Android operating system are expected to launch later this week. Retail woe for Toshiba’s Folio 100 tablet

Technology retailers Currys, Dixons and PC World have reportedly stopped selling Toshiba’s Folio 100 Android tablet after "higher than expected" numbers of the would-be iPad rivals were returned by unhappy customers.
