In July the regulator published a list of competition concerns which it asked BT to address by agreeing to new governance arrangements for Openreach.
The company provides TV services through its BT, EE and Plusnet brands and has been investing heavily in sports content and, through its partnership with AMC, US dramas.
Known as Long Reach VDSL, the technology was installed into the community’s existing fibre broadband cabinet and Openreach says users are already seeing “significant increases” in their speeds.
BT’s Home Hub wireless router has had a bit of a refresh and now sports a new name, a revamped look and a host of tech and design enhancements.
The new contract starts in September 2017 and covers both the UK and Republic of Ireland. In addition to Bundesliga matches, BT Sport will have rights to the annual DFL Supercup matches, Bundesliga 2, plus previews and highlights shows.
