Sky is to launch a new NOW TV set top box which combines its portfolio of contract-free subscription channels with more than 60 free to air live channels, including BBC One and ITV.
Sky's low-cost, contract-free streaming service offers access to the firm's popular entertainment channels, including Sky 1 and Sky Atlantic.
The deal means that for just £6.99 you could enjoy two months of unlimited movie streaming including films such as Guardians of the Galaxy.
The BBC is bringing its popular iPlayer Live Restart feature, which lets viewers watch shows which have already started from the beginning, to a range of Smart TVs and connected set top boxes.
Launching internet streaming service NOW TV has allowed Sky to unlock “new and profitable” customers, the firm’s boss said on Tuesday.
The revamp is the first since the Sky-owned service launched in July 2012 and aims to reflect “the fun, simple and easy nature of NOW TV’s products.”
