BT and Sky’s high profile pay-TV war appears to be hitting shared rival Virgin Media. According to its latest market update, the company added 18,600 pay-TV customers and 39,100 broadband customers in the three months to the end of December.
Phone and broadband company Virgin Media has been fined £14,300 “for endangering the lives of residents and motorists” after it was prosecuted by Richmond Council for carrying out unsafe street works.
Virgin Media has bought Smallworld Fibre, the independent cable TV and broadband provider which serves homes in western Scotland and north west England.
