I love my iPhone but when it comes to picking up email on the move, push email and a physical keyboard long ago convinced me that nothing beats a Blackberry.
In just over a month my existing Blackberry contract comes to an end so I’ve been looking around for my next handset and deal – I have my eye on the Bold 9900.
And suddenly I’m concerned I could be about to enter a two-year contract for a phone which could soon end up without meaningful manufacturer support.
For the first time in about 8 years I’m rethinking my love of Blackberry and wondering if I could just use my iPhone or am better looking for a different option.
That sense of uncertainty is going to be another problem for Blackberry to overcome – customers wary of being left high and dry just move on.
When they do it in sizeable numbers, fears of a market exit can easy become self-fulfilling.
