Just over a week ago I asked whether Apple had failed its UK Apple TV customers by failing to provide any meaningful functionality beyond movie rentals.
So you can consider me chuffed to bits that they’ve since added the ability to watch iTunes purchased TV shows and access music via iTunes Match.
But my core points still hold – Apple have been far too US-centric with this product and taken too long to roll out feature
Clearly the Apple TV is part of a wider ‘cloud’ based plan being slowly rolled out by Apple, but the firm’s secrecy can be pretty frustrating when a product sits barely used and you ave no idea what’s coming next.
For me, TV shows and iTunes Match have rescued my Apple TV but I’ll not be racing to buy whatever comes after it unless I can be confident Apple are committed to supporting it properly.
