Coronation Street and Queer as Folk star Antony Cotton is to get his own ITV chat show as the broadcaster continues to look for a replacement teatime chat show after Paul O’Grady defected to Channel 4 last year.
The hour-long ‘That Antony Cotton Show’ will air Monday-Friday throughout the summer.
Cotton will continue to appear the ITV soap with his new show filmed Granada Studios in Manchester. Cotton says the show will be “gossipy, light-hearted, chatty and irreverent but most of all fun, with lots of tea and cake.”
The show is the latest attempt to fill the gap left by O’Grady, previous chat shows include series front by Sharon Osbourne and TopGear presenter Richard Hammond.
