We understand Audience Appreciation figures for Christmas Day reveal that Doctor Who was the second most appreciated show of the day with 84% of viewers saying that they’d enjoyed the special. The only programme to beat Who’s rating was ITV’s ‘Creature Comforts’ with an impressive 85%.
The Herald reports how a copy of their December 17 Magazine featuring David Tennant on the cover was sold on ebay for �21. The paper advises
“Dr Who devotees that back-issues are available from The Herald for 90p“.
Doctor Who is cited by Sky News in their list of the shows to look out for in 2006.

BBC Broadcasting Council for Wales Presentation
Our attention has been drawn to the minutes of the BBC Broadcasting Council for Wales’ September meeting at which Julie Gardner, Head of Drama gave a presentation on her two years in the post at BBC Cymru Wales.
As might be expected Doctor Who comes in for a number of mentions as does Russell T Davies and Casanova which also starred new Doctor David Tennant.
