Orange has announced the launch of the Vegas, “the cheapest full touch screen” mobile on the market, retailing at just £48.50 on pay as you go.
The company says when combined with its Dolphin price plan users will receive 300 free texts and £10 credit to spend however they wish.
While not a full smartphone, there’s support for those wanting access to Bebo, Facebook and MySpace on the go, MP3 and media player capability plus a built-in FM radio.
Built-in memory is a rather tiny 128M, however the microSD slot supports a data capacity of up to 4GB.
Speaking on the announcement, Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK said “The Vegas is the perfect handset for customers who wish to have the touch screen experience without breaking the bank.”
