The BBC webcast, Scream of the Shalka has been cleared for release by the BBFC.
Three of the six episodes have been cleared as with the remaining half being granted a ‘U’ classification. Under BBFC rules this means the title would be released as ‘PG’ – the higher of the two classifications.
The six part animated adventure was written by Paul Cornell for the Fortieth Anniversary and starred Richard E Grant as the Ninth Doctor.
The revival of Doctor Who on BBC One ended plans for subsequent stories.
It was previously broadcast via BBC Interactive on Digital Satellite and won a Big Chip award for production house Cosgrove Hall.
There are currently no announcements on plans to release the story.
