A brand new Guinness World Records app has been released for Apple’s iPad which not only offers in-depth knowledge on records, but also the chance for readers to set their own records straight from the device’s screen.
The app offers content from the Guinness World Records database, picture and TV archives with all content specially selected to make the most of the iPad’s unique fingertip functionality.
When not learning about current records, readers can compete against Usain Bolt for the ‘fastest 100m on an iPad’, try setting a new record for speed typing the alphabet backwards and take part in a memory endurance test where the noises are inspired by real human sounds.
Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday said the app, which has been designed especially for Apple’s market-leading tablet, “is not the Guinness World Records book for the iPad, this is unique and specifically created content that is dedicated to showcasing everything that is amazing about the iPad and Guinness World Records”
The app is available from iTunes priced £2.99
