You might possibly only have a passing interest in the topics covered, But Stephen Fry’s ability to make a subject engaging keeps the listener’s attention. Even the more serious subjects are injected with his own brand of intelligent humour.
Subjects covered in the first four Podgrams are:
1) Broken arm. Stephen recounts scriptwriting for Peter Jackson’s upcoming Dam Busters movie & the pitfalls of exploring the Amazon rain forest.
2) Bored of the dance. Stephen has a problem with dancing and wants you to know about it!
3) Wallpaper. While traveling across the U.S.A. Stephen ponders Oscar Wilde’s views on American violence and the merits of good wallpaper.
4) Broadcasting. Mr Fry shares his views on the need for the BBC to continue to be funded in such a way that would allow it to continue to make new and innovative programmes. He also shares the devastating effect that the very first series of Doctor Who (broadcast in 1963) had on his formative years.
Thoroughly entertaining
