Surprising May 20, 2009 Joanne Harris (Vienna, Austria) Always having liked Julie Walters I was looking forward to reading this book and though I did enjoy it, it at times left me thinking that I am not sure that I would have liked her too much as a child. For someone working in the world of show bussiness, there is an act of innocence that I can't really belive. It certainly showed another part of Julie and I look forward to her next one.
That's Another Story May 7, 2009 Disappointed 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Julie Walters is obsessive with bodily functions in every chapter. Starting with her bed-wetting, to her grandmother's incontinence to her dog pissing all over a sleeping man and going on to tell us about her neighbours throwing turds out the window and much more. She definitely has a problem.
A very disappointing book for such a good actress.
Julie Walters Autobiography April 23, 2009 Rip Fox (cheshire, uk) I nearly split my sides laughing at some of this cd, but at other parts i could have cheerfully turned off and listened to the grass grow. Too much irrelevant info about which producer did which play and who wrote whatever film, not very interested in that side of it!. That aside, i enjoyed about 65% of it and would consider it as a gift for someone. Dont know what i expected from it but it fell short, nonetheless.
Faulty Fourth Disc March 29, 2009 jimbo (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My review here is not of the content - just of the quality of the discs used. I am now just about to return my second audiobook as there is a problem with the fourth disc - track 14 to be precise. Have tried it on several other CD players and the same problem persists, so beware this sounds like a faulty batch to me.
A boring story March 22, 2009 Mr. Harry Johnson Not as good as I expected, funny in places escpecially her childhood days but very boring for most of the rest.
