5 out of 5 stars It really depends on what you are planning on doing with it   September 8, 2010

I just bought one for my parents and they are loving it. They have never heard about Apple fanboys before, they don't know what flash is and they don't care about not being able to download those apps that never made it into the apple store due to one restriction or another. However they do ring me up consistently regarding various problems they tend to run into while using their laptop. At the end of the day all they want to do is to send an odd email, check the weather and make a Skype call. Ipad makes it easy for them. Everything is a touch away and there are no menus or confusing prompts to deal with. I clocked the battery and it lasted just over 10 hours streaming various videos. This is like a month worth of battery for my parents. Maybe Ipad is indeed not for you, but for some people it's perfect.

2 out of 5 stars Stylish paperweight   August 28, 2010

I was given an iPad 64gb 3G as a birthday present and it was very generous considering how much it costs. Perhaps it's me but most of the sites I use require Flash and 90% of the apps I use on the iPhone only work at the same size on iPad and if you enlarge them x2 they are fuzzy.

I'm seriously trying to find anything useful that this thing can do and I'm struggling! I think the thing has been over-hyped and I'd rather have a decent Windows laptop any day.

I have no anti Apple feelings but I know that its fans will defend any of the products with their lives!

iPad is a waste of money in my humble humble opinion!

3 out of 5 stars A fun toy   August 25, 2010

Not easy to type on this keyboard and for a touch typist very frustrating.

This is a fun toy but not much practical use, I wanted to use it to listen to BBC radio abroad, but without flash no chance of that.

High quality photo frame it certainly is, and a passable iPod once you get the hang of apples obligatory synching system.

I suspect my patience is running out . Probably best for apple addicts.Apple iPad Tablet (WiFi, 16 GB)

I am absolutely stunned that out of all of you who've commented, not one of you has actually rated the product BOUGHT FROM THIS SITE. All you seem to care about is either putting apple down or reviewing it after buying it from somewhere else. When a private seller is selling tons of iPads on a marketplace you'd want a little bit of comfort in knowing that they are trustworthy and deliver. But no all you people can do is give a completely irrelevant opinion about a product you havent even purchased (albeit some of you have) if you want to moan about it try a forum, this is a marketplace where people read comments to see if the seller has a legitimate product. I would love to buy one of these but apple are just a smidgen out of range and it doesnt help to find the one and only place i can trust other than apple is flooded with chilidish anti-apple protestors who more than likely if they got their hands on one would probably enjoy themselves. Thanks to those who reviewed the product as a whole but the most important thing is to make sure im not going to get a box instead of a £484 piece of modern tech. Just a piece of my mind there and im sure im not the only one in sharing the same thoughts.

5 out of 5 stars Not essential to life but...   August 13, 2010

Being honest it's not an essential bit of kit, I can use my laptop or phone to do exactly the same things as the iPad does. However it does these boring things with such style and simplicity it's a pleasure to hold.
