Ever since I got this product I have had nothing but problems with it. It was good at first but the copying of data files just stopped after a couple of months and when I got it repaired under the warranty the same problem re-appeared. My partner's got the same player and the data transfer works with his one, so there is definitely a problem with mine, but the repair centre and service cannot seem to find the problem or offer me an alternative.
I have a lot of sony products but their repair service let's them down big time. I am unlikely to use sony again for that reason.

PURCHASED THE SONY MP3 PLAYER FOR MY MUMS 65TH BIRTHDAY. I NEEDED SOMETHING THAT WAS LIGHT AND EASY TO USE. RECEIVED THE NEXT DAY AND WAS VERY PLEASED WITH IT, VERY EASY TO LOAD WITH YOUR FAVOURITE SONGS AND PHOTOS, USING THE DRAG AND DROP. I LOADED IT WITH SONGS AND PHOTOS MUM WOULD LIKE. WHEN SHE OPENED IT SHE WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH HOW EASY AND LIGHT IT WAS......JOB DONE!!!
I OWN AN IPOD AND IF TRUTH BE TOLD I THINK THE SONY WALKMAN IS MUCH BETTER!!

Great machine for sound quality and ease of use with drag and drop facility. My only gripe is the ridiculous claim of 25 hours of battery life! Absolute nonsense! You'll be lucky to get maybe 5 hours of music at a reasonable volume - at a push. Perhaps they mean if you just want to look at your photo library for 25 hours you can do that. If you do i would seek help for your obsessive/compulsive disorder . Ipod is always going to beat any device as far as navigating between applications etc and the Sony is no different. It takes several button pushes to get from the depths of your downloaded music library once you've went thru all the possible selections like genre, artist etc and then its a long way back if you want to listen to the radio or watch a video. A short-cut between features would have been brilliant like a dedicated radio or video button or even just a button to switch between them rather than having to "reverse" thru all the options you pressed to get to the music you listened to in the first instance. But these are all minor complaints really for what is a very good device with excellent sound quality being the main selling point for me

Pretty little thing that does everything it says on the tin .. . Downsides are slightly cheap and nasty headphones and it is evident upon listening. Video is ok but nothing to write home about, but what do you really expect at this price ??
Main problem is these are already well out of date as Amazon should really make clear ....
