Product Description The Genio Touch mobile phone is the cool and colourful way to connect. Not only is it packed with features, it's got flair. Its bold bi-colour cover can be interchanged with a funky patterned one or a chic black one - choose which based on your vibe each day. And when you're in the mood to message, Genio's convenient widget icons give you instant access to your favourite social networking sites. Update your Twitter status or send that picture you just snapped to your best friend in just seconds. Of course you're always in the mood for fun and its cool Cartoon UI makes using it a blast. You hear it. You want it. But you don't know it. The Find Music feature records a few seconds of the song and sends it to a server that identifies the track, artist, album and genre for you. Leave your camera at home - the Genio Touch turns can't-miss moments into 2MP photos. Digital zoom gets you closer, Panorama Shot takes you wider and Smile Detection captures your subjects at their happiest. A Bluetooth headset lets you carry on conversations wirelessly as well as listen to your music files or the radio without plugging in earphones. It also easily connects to your PC or printer.

Has its drawbacks June 22, 2010 K. Simmons (London, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Going to point out some drawbacks to this phone, because I think there should be some balance to the reviews. Touchscreen technology on cheaper phones has a way to go, if this is an example. Touch sensitivity is not 100% reliable, making texting not always easy (call me old fashioned, but I loved being able to operate a phone with one hand on the go). The spell predictor on this model is annoying - it 'remembers' one-off rare words like names and suggests them before everyday common words. The touch sensitivity locks when you're in a call - pretty standard, but if you need to access the keyboard (e.g. call centre menus) you have to press Unlock, then Keyboard, then the number.
Some other design faults: the Lock/Unlock button is shared with the Shortcut-to-Camera button on the side of the phone. Terrible idea. Mine has a small intermittent fault: sometimes in camera mode, the whole phone locks up and you have to take out the battery and reboot it.
On the plus side: It is a good looking phone (friends will think it's flasher than it really is!); the camera's not bad at all; it has plenty of good features (music player, expandable memory, radio).
I'm being totally subjective here. I understand why this phone is 5 out of 5 for some people. Personally, the little niggles are not really worth the hassle.

its a good shape can fit in your palm it has a 2gb camera and very clear photos come out of that you would think it was 10gb not 2 also shoots videos which are great too.
some of the apps are dictionary, calculater,my files and many more out of 10 would be 10 out of ten its that good i was going to get a iphone but i am so glad i changed my mind my friend has a iphone and we were going to be i buddys but when she got hers she told me our plan would have to go astray the iphone was slow and you couldnt trust it photos were rubbish so was video and that the ones in the shops for show must have something on them that makes them go faster in the end she took hers back and got her money back and she brought the samsung monte instead and shes glad she did so i brought this phone instead

samsung genio touch February 18, 2010 Ms. E. Ward (uk) 43 out of 43 found this review helpful
i have the samsung genio touch on vodafone.the camera is 2 megapixels, which does not sound great, but actually the photos are very clear and the colours are vivid.battery life is very good, but if you use the internet on it,it will drain the battery much quicker, but with little internet use,the battery can last around 5 days with having made quite a few calls and sent alot of texts.the music player will use up the battery quicker, but the battery could last 3 days before needing to be charged, with moderate use of the mp3 player.the internal memory is around 50 megabytes which can store a fair amount of songs.you can buy a memory card of upto 8gb. there is a collins dictionary on the phone which is free to use,and you can save the words that you look up if you wish to do so,very handy.there are lots of applications on the phone, which are spread out over 3 screens.there is an mp3 player, internet, alarm clock, calendar,fm radio, voice recorder, memo, world clock, calculator, tasks, rss reader, stopwatch, converter, timer, texting is easy as the "buttons" on the screen are quite large ,therefore very easy to use.the text size can be adjusted to be small or medium or large.my dad is 65, and he has the tocco lite,he gets on with it well, the genio touch uses the same menu, call quality is very clear.though some people say that the genio touch phone is aimed at teenagers, i am 26 and i think that the phone is suitable for any age.i think the phone is fabulous and would highly recommend to anybody
Very smart February 10, 2010 Martin R. Read (U.K.) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
Seem's to have all that I need and then some, the touch screen is excellent and with the on screen display for the dialing pad it makes it easy to see and use, great if you have "fat finger syndrome" quite intuitive to use and you hardly need to use the reference book that comes with it. The only down side is that it is locked to "O2" so I will have to get it unlocked but not really a problem. If your thinking of a cheap and fun little mobile then this could be ideal for most people. Also it has a REALLY nice display very clear pictures and stunning graphics.
