I have a T-Mobile broadband stick with a Fair Usage Policy which I’m very happy to keep within where possible.
Like all computer users, I have to download OS updates in addition to my normal usage so it’s always possible I might stray over the FUP. If I do, my browsing is interrupted with a lovely white and pink T-Mobile splash screen displaying the following slightly sanctimonious message:
“As you know, you´ve already received a text message from us this month letting you know you´ve used 80% of your FUP, and now you´ve used over 100%.”
Well no, for reasons best known only to T-Mobile, the modem stick I use doesn’t come with Mac software capable or sending or receiving text messages so I never get the message letting me know when I’ve reached 80%. If I did, I’d adjust my browsing accordingly.
If T-Mobile can release Windows software with usage charts, a phone book and SMS capability what’s the issue with Macs?
