Owners of T-Mobile’s G2 branded HTC Hero phones have been using the operator’s forums to express disappointment at a delayed update to the phone’s firmware.
The new firmware addresses lag issues some users are reporting and adds touch-to-focus tot he built-in camera.
Handset makers HTC have already released a new version to unbranded, off network handsets but says owners of T-Mobile and Orange branded handsets need to wait until their respective operator release network-specific builds.
T-Mobile forum admins have told customers the update is being tested and will be released as soon as possible, a statement which doesn’t seem to have appeased many users.

i find it hard to believe people are trying to compare the G2 to an iphone….the G2 is an appaling phone…i could write a list of how many things are wrong with it….it crashes…losses phone numbers…is so complicated that it misses the functions people actually need…buttons are all wrong…screen is so cheap that anything marks it..crap battery life…useless gps…..low resolution when watching youtube…many apps either dont load or dont work…its the worst smart phone ive ever owned…the iphone is a polished product..simple as that…anyone want to buy a G2 ?
