“And before I go…Rose…before I go I just wanted to tell you you were fantastic, absolutely fantastic and do you know what…so was I.”
And so it’s over. Christopher Eccleston’s critically acclaimed Ninth Doctor joins the ranks of past Doctors and we finally discover the true identity of Bad Wolf.
In tonight’s explosive climax to current series, The Ninth Doctor defeated a massive Dalek attack on the Earth and saved companion Rose from death by absorbing the energy of the Vortex from her body, triggering his ninth regeneration.

The episode has been well received including by the Telegraph’s John Preston while the paper’s Arts Correspondent talks about a film version and also caims that the “the transformation scene was actually shot in January”.
