Play has arrived on Freesat, bringing hundreds of hours of catch-up and on-demand first run shows to users of the UK’s subscription-free satellite TV platform.
Available from today, the service allows viewers to watch shows from Dave, Yesterday, Really and Drama via the UKTV Play app or directly via the rollback TV guide.
Programme highlights include the multi-award winning Taskmaster, hit comedy Red Dwarf and brand-new Judge Romesh.
This month, UKTV Play will also be premiering Dr Christian Will See You Now and Inside the Ambulance, which until now, have only been available on the broadcaster’s W channel.

Freesat already offers BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, YouTube and Demand 5, as well as optional pay services including Netflix, TV Player Plus and Rakuten TV.
