Universal Channel is bringing hit US series Sleepy Hollow to UK screens next month.
The show, which debuted in the US earlier this month, is based on Washington Irving’s 1820 tale of a headless horseman and Ichabod Crane, the man trying to stop his murderous ways.
It’s been created by Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci with Phillip Iscove and Len Wiseman.
Tom Mison stars as Ichabod Crane who finds himself waking up in the modern-day town of Sleepy Hollow.
Discovering he’s humanity’s last hope in a world on the brink of destruction, Crane teams up with Detective Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), a young cop who had a supernatural encounter as a child.
Ichabod and Abbie form an unlikely bond and embark on a quest to unravel a mystery in which everything they believe to be true is tested to the extreme.
The series also stars Orlando Jones as Captain Frank Irving, Abbie’s boss who refuses to believe in the supernatural.
Sleepy Hollow premieres on October 9th – Sky Channel 113, Virgin 162, YouView (TalkTalk & BT) 420
