Acclaimed Actor Ian Richardson Dies

It’s been announced that acclaimed British actor Ian Richardson has died.

Mr Richardson was an accomplished Shakespearean actor who also won fame as the scheming Francis Urquhart in the BBC’s House of Cards trilogy.

The 72 year old Scot had recently completed filming on Becoming Jane, a film which explores the life of the pre-fame Jane Austen and her romance with a young Irishman.

A highly versatile actor other recent roles included Marcus Foster in ITV’s The Booze Cruise II and III and Chancellor in the BBC’s celebrated adaptation of Bleak House.
