Shannon Patrick Sullivan’s A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME (TRAVEL) reports that preliminary audience appreciation figure for New Earth is 85% making it the most enjoyed show of the day and one of the highest results ever for the show. The Mirror takes time off of predicting Billie Piper’s departure from the show to make much of an ‘exclusive’ discussion with Elisabeth Sladen in which she makes the observation that companions of old were often 2 dimensional.
Although the Mirror seems terribly excited by the comments they are nothing new and simply reflect the same views expressed by many cast and production team members over the year.
