According to the official series site the BBC are working on a new children’s magazine style show”specifically related to Doctor Who and aimed at older children”.
The show is expected to air in the CBBC strand on BBC One.

reports that the 10th Doctor’s written adventures (‘The Stone Rose’, by
Jacqueline Rayner, ‘The Feast of the Drowned’, by Stephen Cole and ‘The
Resurrection Casket’, by Justin Richards) will arrive in Canada and the
US in April.
May will see the release of the BBC Quick Read
entry ‘I am a Dalek’ and ‘Aliens and Enemies’ – a follow up to
‘Monsters And Villains’.

Doctor Who stole the limelight in the BBC 2005 Drama Awards winning seven of the eight categories:
Best Drama: Doctor Who (55.86% of the vote)
Best Actor: Christopher Eccleston (59.42%)
(David Tennant came second with 9.15%)
Best Actress: Billie Piper (59.76%)
Best Moment: The Return of the Daleks (8.63%)
(the show also bagged second place for the regeneration with 6.23% of votes.)
Best Villain: The Daleks (46.40%)
(also Emperor Dalek came 5th with 3.29%)
Most Desirable Star: Billie Piper (26.47%)
(also David Tennant – 2nd with 11.88%, Christopher Eccleston – 3rd with 7.56% and john Barrowman – 4th with 5.00%)
Best Drama Website: : Doctor Who (71.17%)
Mercifully the show failed to win the Worst Drama award which went to Rome.

On the subject of awards, David Tennant has been voted ‘sexiest man in the universe’ in the Pink Paper Awards.
