Eyebrows are raised this Saturday when the Casualty team met new Consultant of Emergency Medicine, Dr Adam Trueman (Tristan Gemmill). His unorthodox entry certainly makes an impression � especially on the female staff.
Nathan’s (Ben Price) premature baby, Angel, is fighting for her life in the Special Care Baby Unit in this week’s episode of the popular hospital drama. When Nathan’s told that she has no chance after she stops breathing he forces doctors to try to resuscitate her. Charlie ( Derek Thompson) comforts and consoles Nathan as he has to make a traumatic decision.
Meanwhile, the department learns that there is to be an investigation into last week’s incident, following complaints about the way it was handled.
Determined to get his nerve back Guppy (Elyes Gabel) has almost convinced himself that the patient’s death in last week’s episode was not his fault � then a relative of the dead patient comes into ED, wanting to speak to him. Guppy goes to pieces and he nearly takes the easy option, returning to the oblivion that drugs will offer him.
Facing his demons he decides to tackle the situation head on and surprises everyone with a shock decision.
