Character Options Action Figures

April 24, 2006 - Staff@seenituk

We take a look at the The Doctor (in coat)/Rose & K9/Sycorax figures from the first wave of Character Options’ Doctor Who action figures range.

The Doctor (in coat)/Rose & K9/Sycorax
Each of these figures is a decent likeness of their onscreen counterparts and feel weighty and solid. However where they do feel a bit of a lack down is their poseability and movement – the Rose figure comes out worse with no head movement, pre-bent legs and, on our figure, a non-moving right arm.

The Doctor is somewhat better although the bottom of his suit jacket impairs the movement of his legs. The best of the three is the Sycorax which is fully posable.

Accessories are a mixed bag, The Sycorax has a staff and whip, the Doctor comes with just a small and easily lost Sonic Screwdriver and Rose – for reasons which are unclear but not unwelcome – comes with a ‘pull back and go’ K9 figure.

Likely to keep the kids amused but some room for improvement, especially with any future Rose figures.
