The Tenth Doctor is to meet one of his earlier incarnations for the 2007 Children in Need fundraising marathon.
Peter Davison who played the Doctor in the 1980s will appear alongside David Tennant in a special scene commissioned for the annual TV event which this year airs on Friday 16 November.
Entitled Time Crash the scene has been written by series writer Steven Moffat.
Davison said it was “an honour for me to be able to make the connection between the Fifth Doctor and the Tenth Doctor”
