We should probably have already known about this but news has (finally) reached us that supermarket Tesco has its own online eBook store hiding away at tescoebooks.com.
The QuickReads range are available for just £1.99 per title and more regular readers are also catered for with a decent selection of fiction and non-fiction titles.
All titles sold appear to be ePub format ensuring they’ll work on most popular readers.
Meanwhile the retailer’s Tesco Direct online store offers several readers including Sony’s PRS300 Pocket Edition and the PRS600 Touch Edition models.
If you’re unsure which of Sony’s models you fancy there are expert and user reviews available here.
The site also offers a range of Sony accessories.
Tesco’s decision to stake a place in the eBook market is a clear sign that major retailers can see the growth potential for this currently nascent sector.
