Five Download Launches with CSI

Five has launched a new video on demand (VOD) service which allows fans of the CSI Franchise to exclusively download new episodes of the current series of CSI: Miami, a full week before their UK transmission.

The service, named Five Download, is powered by BT Media & Broadcast and follows a deal with CSI distributors Alliance Atlantis.

Jane Lighting, Five’s Chief Executive, said the service was "e;an important part of Five’s digital media strategy. I’m delighted that we are launching the service with CSI enabling us to offer the highest quality content to viewers with a viewing window which exceeds anything currently in the marketplace."e;

Ted Riley, Executive Managing Director, International Content Distribution, Alliance Atlantis said the company was "e;thrilled to be taking our partnership with Five to the next level"e;

Riley added that the service was "e;the first-ever CSI Franchise VoD service outside the U.S"e; and called is "e;both a thrilling proposition for U.K. fans."e;
