GoSpoken agree Sony Ericsson app store deal

August 28, 2009 - Staff@seenituk

gospokenMobile book platform GoSpoken has agreed a deal to provide eBooks to Sony Ericsson’s app stores PlayNow arena and Fun & Downloads.

PlayNow arena are launching with two Michael Jackson ebooks in the lead up to what would have been the singer’s 51st birthday.

Additional titles, including best sellers and latest book releases, will be made available to PlayNow arena customers in the coming weeks with prices starting at £6.

Run by parent company Mobcast, GoSpoken.com  gives instant access to thousands of latest releases and bestselling ebooks and audio books. Featured authors include James Patterson, Sophie Kinsella and Dan Brown. The firm already has partnerships with Vodafone, 3 and Orange.

Rebecca Williams, Head of Marketing: “Mobcast is very strong on English-speaking content with content agreements with the major publishers. Manufacturers’ app stores like PlayNow arena gives us the fantastic opportunity to reach new customers worldwide who will seek content in their native language. We are now acquiring international content to address this need.”

The service is accessible via GoSpoken.com or by texting SPOKEN to 60300.
