Hachet Assembles Horror 'A List' Supporting Cast

September 13, 2007 - Staff@seenituk

Some of the horror genre’s best known actors come together next month when Adam Green’s HATCHET opens in cinemas across the UK on October 5, 2007.

HATCHET has been described as “a must-see for fans of the classic slasher films of the 80’s” and stars Starring Joel David Moore (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story), Deon Richmond (Scream 3) and Mercedes McNab (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

The supporting cast includes Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street series), Tony Todd (Candyman) and Kane Hodder (Jason from Friday 13th VII and VIII, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Chapter and Jason X).

Depressed after being dumped by his girlfriend, Ben (Joel David Moore) persuades his friend Marcus (Deon Richmond) to leave behind the many appeals of New Orleans Mardi Gras and join him on a haunted swamp tour. After their boat sinks, the pair find themselves stranded in the wilderness with their fellow tourists.

Attempting to find a way out of the swamp, they come across the Crowley house, home of Victor Crowley, a hideously deformed boy killed in tragic circumstances. It soon becomes apparent that the legend of Victor Crowley is much more than just a story and soon the group find themselves hunted by a killer more hideous and terrifying than they could ever have imagined.

It’s not a remake, it’s not a sequel and it’s not based on a Japanese one. HATCHET is pure old school American horror.
