Kindle rival the nook finally comes to the UK

August 30, 2012 - Staff@seenituk

The nook will go on sale in the UK in October
US retailer Barnes & Noble says its nook ebook reader – the biggest rival to Amazon’s Kindle in the US – will be available in the UK from October.

The nook and nook GlowLight, which includes a lit screen, will be available from nook.co.uk, high street John Lewis and Argos and booksellers Foyles and Blackwell’s

Both models offer WiFi connectivity to Barnes & Noble’s eBook store, allowing instant purchases and access to books.

“We’re excited to work with Argos, Blackwell’s and Foyles to introduce our popular NOOK reading experience to an even broader audience in the United Kingdom,” said Jamie Iannone, President of Digital Products at Barnes & Noble.

“We look forward to bringing more choice and convenience to discerning UK customers with our critically acclaimed line of reading devices and expansive selection of content.”
