Meet the COOL-ER, the most colourful ebook reader yet

The COOL-ER is available in a range of colours

The world of ebook readers just got a lot more colourful with the release of the COOL-ER, described by makers Interead as “the smallest, lightest, fastest and most affordable ebook reader ever.”

Available in a choice of bright colours, the COOL-ER boasts an eye-friendly 6 inch display, 1GB of internal memory and, unlike rival devices, is Windows PC and Mac compatible out of the box.

Battery life on the device is said to support 8,000 page turns between charges so you won’t need to keep topping up before you leave home.

The reader supports all common formats (PDF, EPUB, FB2, RTF, TXT, HTML, PRC, JPG, BMP, GIF.) so you’re not limited in your choice of books and there’s native support for Adobe Digital Editions.

From iTunes to the App Store and Blackberry World, device makers are increasingly offering their users a dedicated shopping experience and the COOL-ER is no different, a companion ebook store offers a 25% discount off the list price to owners of the device.

The store has a great, open vibe to it and wins points with us for taking time to provide a simple, upfront and easy to understand answer to that killer question: Why aren’t ebooks cheaper?

Costing £189 inc. VAT & Delivery, the COOL-ER looks set to be a bit hit and can be ordered from www.coolreaders.com
