
Tuesday saw Noel Clarke, 2009 winner of the Orange Rising Star Award, join fellow jurors including Jason Isaacs and LoveFilm co-founderSimon Morris, for the final casting of votes for this year’s nominee list.
The award, now in its fifth year, honours a young actor or actress whose talent has inspired popular acclaim from the British public and is the only award at the Orange British Academy Film Awards to be voted for by the public.
Previous winners include James McAvoy, Eva Green and Shia LaBeouf.
The five nominees will be announced on 12 January 2010 and members of the public will then be able to cast their votes at www.orange.co.uk/bafta
The award was created in honour of Mary Selway, the highly respected BAFTA-winning casting director whose career spanned three decades and over ninety films before she died in 2004.
